President's Volunteer Service
Award Recipients Announced
The President's
Volunteer Service Award is issued by the President's Council on Service
and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States
to recognize the best in American spirit, and to encourage all Americans
to improve their communities through volunteer service, and civic
participation. Congratulations to the following Georgia members
for achieving this excellence: Gabbrielle Dukes, Gabriel Dukes,
Brandi Phillips, Kiara Harris, and Ashley King of Jordan Vocational
High School. Students received a travel scholarship from Lowe's to
attend the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City
where they will be recognized during the Opening General Session.
SkillsUSA Georgia is proud of these students and their accomplishments!

2012 Yearbook
Information
Dear Parent or Student,
Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites
students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got
great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just
having fun, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be
everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific
book everyone will want to have.
Here is how you can submit photos online:
• Go to:
https://images.jostens.com/login
• If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter
username:400113207 and password:jordan2012
• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information
in case the staff needs additional information.
• Click "Save Details".
It's that easy! Submit your photos today! The last day to submit photos
is 1/15/2012.

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 requires
Jordan Vocational High School to notify parents that they may request
information regarding any teacher's professional qualifications,
including the following:

Whether
the teacher has met the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
requirements for certification for the grade level and subject areas
in which the teacher provides instruction;

Whether
the teacher is teaching under an emergency or other provisional
status through which Georgia qualifications or certification
criteria have been waived;

The
college major and any graduate certification or degree held by the
teacher;

Whether
the student is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so,
their qualifications.
