Class Day will be held on Thursday, May 24, at 9:30 a.m., in the JVHS Auditorium.  Class Day is a long-time tradition that features music, special presentations, a senior video, and an opportunity for students to say goodbye to Jordan Vocational High School.  A reception to honor the graduates will be held following the ceremony.  Seniors should report to the JVHS auditorium no later than 8:45 a.m.

Graduation will be held on Friday, May 25, at 4:30 p.m. at the Columbus Civic Center.  This is every Senior’s goal.  The Graduation ceremony involves music, speeches, and among other events, the delivery of the diplomas to each individual.  Seniors should report to the designated areas of the Civic Center no later than TBA.  Students and parents will be directed what side of the Civic Center to park on at a later date.

Senior Debts Back to top

Graduation Pictures Back to top

Seniors, please go ahead and start taking care of all outstanding debts.  Examples:  lost books that you owe for, overdue fines in the Library, and money owed to club sponsors.  Students must have paid all outstanding debts before the first graduation practice in May, in order to be placed in the graduation lineup.

Village Photographers will be present at graduation to photograph students as they receive their diploma.  A complimentary proof of the picture will be mailed to graduates about ten days after the ceremony.  Students may purchase the reasonably priced photographs.  All prints are guaranteed to be of good quality or your money will be refunded.

Wednesday, March 28

Parents must plan to attend only one of the Meetings

The Muscogee County School District requires that a parent or guardian of all seniors participating in the graduation ceremony meet with the principal.  No graduation tickets will be issued to the graduate until this requirement is met.

Parents of graduating seniors are required to attend an informational meeting.  In an attempt to try to accommodate parents, this meeting will be held at two different times.  Parents must attend only one of the scheduled time slots.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday.  Parents may attend either meeting.  On Tuesday, March 27, the meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. meeting.  On Wednesday, March 28, the meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Jordan auditorium.  Important information will  be distributed at the meetings regarding the end of the year activities. Parents must plan to attend only one of the two scheduled time slots.   If a parent/guardian is unable to attend either of these two time slots, they should contact Mr. White to set up a private meeting.
